We offer timber management services for a wide scope of projects. Our clients include Sportsman's Clubs, Municipal Forests, Land Trusts, Farmers and landowners with a wide variety of needs and guidance in environmental management.
Stewardship Planning
As good stewards of the land, we are at the forefront of the industry. Our Forest Stewardship Plans and CH 61 Forest Management Plans consider all of the environmental factors associated with your property. We assess the soils, topography, wetland conditions, bird habitat and wildlife values as well as the need to grow strong and healthy trees.
Chestnut Forestry Services was established in 1985 by Joseph Lee, a University of Massachusetts graduate forester and former Watershed Management Forester for the City of Worcester, MA. Having instituted the first formal land management program for the City's 7200 acre watershed, the decision was made to expand upon the need for professional foresters in the private sector.
